MyMedLab.com has joined forces with Europe’s premiere Specialty Lab, CancerSafe SA, a Swiss company, to offer consumers cutting-edge screenings for specific types of Cancer.
Each profile looks for the molecules called TUMOR MARKERS (TM) that occur in the blood stream when certain types of cancer are present. Unlike Genetic Markers (DNA), which can only identify an individual’s PRE-DISPOSITION for certain cancers, TUMOR MARKERS actually identify the presence of disease.
We have partnered with CancerSafe because their testing methods evaluate a combination of Tumor Markers instead of relying on a single value. Three of their specialized Tumor Markers, though used extensively in Europe and Japan, are not currently available through any U.S. lab. In addition to their more extensive testing, their expertise and follow-up procedures with our consumers represent the best ways to identify certain Cancers early, when treatment has the best chance of sucess.
All results include a scientific evaluation of the combination of Tumor Markers as well as direct referrals to American Doctors when Abnormal Results are found. Their follow up service becomes vitally important to limit the number of “False Positive” results and to provide the expertise that is required when results warrant further evaluation.
To make this cutting-edge testing more affordable to our consumers, we have made arrangements with CancerSafe to provide these screenings both as a complete package (CancerSafe®Test includes multiple types of Cancers) and as “Type Specific” Profiles (Lung Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Breast Cancer and Colon Cancer).
Theses “Type Specific” cancer screens are only available through MyMedLab.com. They are designed to be used by individuals with a family history (Ovarian, Colon and Breast Cancer) and consumers with increased risk factors like Smoking (Lung Cancer).
Blood samples used for testing are collected at one of our nation-wide collection sites in your area and then shipped overnight by FedX directly to CancerSafe testing lab in Europe. Your results will be placed in your online Confidential Medical Record (CMR) at MyMedLab.com WITHIN 3-4 BUSINESS DAYS after collection. All fees including collection fees, shipping and handling are included in the cost of the profiles.
